Goodbye Overcast, Hello Sun !

I am once again in Anchorage and decaying in the airport because YO, IT'S SPRING BREAK. This girl and the crew are peacin' to Florida. A place that can make anyone forget about being in a constant state of soggy shivers. We've joked about Spring Break literally, since like August and never actually anticipated a trip happening. But it is. AND I AM STOKED.

Mine and Brittni's flight left Juneau this morning around 7:30 AM and we're in Anchorage for quite some time, then off to Seattle, Chicago, and then FINALLY Jacksonville where we will be meeting up with our Puerto Rican homie, Mitchell. However, we don't get in until Sunday morning, so we'll have been traveling for 24+ hours (well, maybe less because there's some time changes in there). Our plan is to road trip through the state; we have an idea of what we're doing but not a whole lot is solidified #YOLO. We do know that we want to (hammock) camp, swim with some sea cows, hit up Orlando, go to the Keys, and maybe the Everglades. We have a rental car lined up and are prepared for a pretty epic road trip.

AND CHECK IT - I will get to see the girl who is the peanut butter to my jelly, the laces to my shoes, the swag to my style, the spots to my cow, and the avocado to my guacamole: STEPHANIEEEEE. You might be wondering how on Earth is it possible for this exciting event able to take place. Well, she'll be in PCB (Panama City Beach) with Cru doing outreach to those wild and feral spring breakers. We're driving through to Destin so we'll get to make a little stoppy stop along the way providing me with the opportunity to give that girl a hug.

The past week has been filled with nothing but anticipation. Granted, it was midterms week but yo, when two of your classes are PE classes and one of them is online, there's not really a whole lot of stress regarding midterms. Although, I did have to write some really obscure paper about the space of  the urban environment. The paper itself was super hipster. But other than that, the week was pretty empty in regards to school work. But there was plenty of friend time, which is my favorite, resulting in staying up too late, my nightmare. To make the anticipation worse, the weather was crazy. One day it just started dumping rain and the next, snow. Then yesterday it was pretty windy, then rained, then hailed, then it was fairly warm and mega sunny, and then it started dumping rain again #thatsjuneauforyou

Last night I think that I was in bed probably by like one. And by in bed, I mean sleeping on the potato, clothes and shoes still on, my window open (I was freezing) and the lights on. I have no idea how it happened, but I just passed out. I woke up at four (probz the excitement), went to fill my coffee pot, and WAH-BAM. It shattered. And I'm talking like, microscopic glass shards everywhere. Enough to cause a safety concern. It sucked.  So if that doesn't say anything about how my day is going, I'm not really sure what else will...

I'm (peanut butter) jammin' out to Ásgeir and like, mega loving the opportunity to people watch. I also have learned that my legs do not enjoy being at a 90 degree angle for an extensive amount of time. 99 problems and short legs ain't one. (Brittni has temporarily abandoned me to get her hair done. So, I'm like, alone. Except that people invaded my corner of solitude) I have a few things to work on during the time I'll be spending at the airport. I also hope to find a slice of pie. Afterall, it's PI DAY. And below are pics from my weekend in Anchorage/Fairbanks a few weeks ago.  Also, some from today. Sending much love your way and I promise to write about Florida when I have the chance!
